Having had his fill he was playing with this fish picking it up and throwing it down. I took 6 shots of this scene and I like this one the best. I am uploading another one of the sequence in which he is shaking the fish.

The first image is exceptional but both are very good, very sharp and crisp. Compliments on these wonderful catches, Dimitris.

Wow! What incredible timing and Wow! again at the impeccable sharpness and fine detail. Exceptional photograph! I am very impressed with the Sigma lens.........and of course with the photographer behind it : - )

This is extraordinary!  Bravo!  Such clarity! And your timing was impeccable!  I was intrigued to know what lens everyone was raving about, and I see that it's the same Sigma lens I have.  But I've been so disappointed in mine.  I have difficulty focusing it, so that's why I find this even more remarkable.  I've been considering trading it in for a Canon 100-400mm lens instead, but maybe now I'll reconsider.  It must just be that I'm doing something wrong with it.  I can't imagine any better sharpness than this....and it's a great DOF as well.

Apologies for being so late in writing this comment, I was away when I posted this picture and my access to the internet was very rudimentary. This was a 'lucky' shot I guess. Now that I am back in London, I am slowly catching up. Many regards and Thanks.

Thank you for your comment and as I said to you in the comment under the squirrel monkey photo, some of these lenses were recalled by Sigma for a repair to the focusing system. Check if the serial no of yours is one of those. Warm regards, Dimitris.

Dear friends, If you open the picture you must see it in the larger view as the colours seem to be different in the smaller one.

I am sorry I missed this one Dimitris, good detail and excellent 'freezing' of action. I really like the colours in the background. Some may thinks a bit 'busy' but not for me.

kindest regards, Gail

Thank you for taking the time. I am also sorry for not replying to your comment earlier. I only saw it just now. The background is a bit busy and not blurred enough but I think that the action overcomes that. This photo was accepted in a national competition in 2012 and during the exhibition of the winning photos I happened to be near this photo and I overheard two ladies talking to each other. He must have put the fish there, said one, the other agreed. I said nothing...-:). Here I have the opportunity to prove otherwise by uploading more photos...;-).

Warm regards,

Dimitris.
