Tm J,

Of the several I've seen in this series, . . . this one catches my attention the most.

The reddish orange light on the water really enhances the yellowish colors of his feet, eyes and the area around its beak.

The smoothness of the background water is broken at just the right area of the frame by the ripples that make up the foreground.

The details and exposure of the white bird are excellent!

Very nice indeed!

Regards always,

Jim j.

Thanks Jim!

Thanks Adela!

Thanks Rolph!

I like the background on this one since it very muich complement the bird menacing expression but I do wish I got a little better resolution for the bird though  :-) .... I know, I know I am ... greedy!  :-)

One of the best wildlife photos I've seen in ages (it really belongs in the current contest!), with superb exposure giving it crisp detail and terrific focal isolation of the subject. This is excellent photography and as noted above, it's my favorite of the current spate you've posted.

I am assuming you treated the water reflection for color and tone. While the treatment is superior for dramatic purposes, I do think the image capture was probably excellent enough to stand up without any extra work. The end result is undeniably beautiful in any case.

Thanks Patrick! The background is deepen up when I run 'auto level' and 'auto contrast' some. It's already has that tone but the auto adjustment that applied deepen the color for sure.
