Although the rocks are interesting, I feel the subject is really the 2 children in their brightly colored clothing.  Do you think this would be more effective cropped further to make the kids more the focus of this image?  Would love your thoughts on this.  Thank you!

I think it's just right, as is.  The rugged scene would do well alone but the two figures are dessert and the composure is spot on.  All, of course, my opinion ;-)...  Mike

I think he is her lover not her brother and that if he is thinking of protection it is of another sort! After all, we are in the Badlands.

No further cropping necessary.  There is good lighting on the foreground rocks which needs to be kept.  You have captured it well.  This would be a ho-hum image of rugged mountains without the two people.  Good work.

Mike & Bill....thanks....you both seem to agree that the figures are an integral piece of this image.  They accommodated me nicely by wearing brightly colored clothing.  :-)   This was the Saddle Pass Trail in Badlands Nat'l. Park.  It was quite steep, but these kids were scrambling up there quite easily.  Thanks, as always!

Jim....Gee....all I can say is "My, you have an active imagination!"  :-)  Thanks for your visit.

I agree with Mike.  The color splash really makes the people the subject and any cropping would diminish where they are.
