I too like the loneliness of the tree against the hillside.

I think that is Wheat stubble after the harvest on the hillside?

Jim....yes, it's wheat.  Although the Palouse area grows mostly garbanzo beans and lentils.  I actually got to ride on a combine harvesting 'garbs', which for this city girl was really special.  Thanks for your visit....good to hear from you.
