There is different kinds of backstage work, that which is set up with the purpose of reproducing natural conditions and that which is really captured "in vivo" so as to say. This shot has the merit of looking authentic, alike many of your captured moments.

The shower was not set up other than, I suppose, my decision to open the curtain -assuming she closed the curtain. The toilet, all of it was not set up.

I feel bad if you suspect it was set up. The whole series would be a sham (aside from the ones I paid to "model". I could not afford real models).

I did pay for the crack in order to take photographs (she really needed it). That was the deal.  No photos no crack. I guess you could say that was a set up.  

I came across Teresa on the street only that once. It was the case with all of them except Nicki. I saw Nicki a few months later (after her photos) in a fast food and she told me the baby died.

I did not pay Keren, Ossi or Beth. I have to clear their names. They were friends -not in the trade- and Tenisha worked at Dillards Department store. I asked Tenisha to model because she was so tall. Over 6 foot.
