Not really dangerous as only a garden variety I think?This is very unusual for this area as we do not normally have snakes and especially at this time of the year when it is getting colder;maybe attracted to the sun warmed pavement as I met this one about hour after I had encountered the other which I shot in my home driveway.You can be sure I would not have come this close had I thought it to be dangerous.Thank you for the EXCLAMATION.

Perhaps a crop that eliminates everything above road and maybe even a bit of the upper road. Excellent sharpness on snake. FWIW. JD

Thank you for viewing and for the observation.I agree that this would be good with the tighter crop given the sharpness on the critter;I posted some such shots of another one I had spotted earlier on in the day(very weird to see these this far north and at this time of the year).On this one,I left the upper part of the frame to sort of tell how and where I encountered the unusual customer.
