Hello. An impressive building especially when you consider it has a door leading to the sky in back on the right side. I'm not trying to be facetious just curious. Am I missing something? It's just something that caught my eye.

Hello Meir, It may not be a door perhaps, if you look between the posts of the Wichita sign what appears to be on the backside of the train station. Maybe its the facade? Not that important, I like the image regardless. Good B&W tones.

Perhaps I understand. Optical illusion/confusion maybe. There would be doors on the side. It is the second floor of the station and exit/entry doors to the track level which is above the street. In 1956 I said goodbye to my parents and departed Wichita by train via one of those doors (off to see the world) and returned in 1999 for a short while, which is when this photo was taken. Today everyone flies. the passenger train no longer goes thru Wichita (obviously if you look at the tracks). The station is now business offices, but still held memories for me. Thanks for commenting.
