...these "gentle giants" make their way to a local waterhole to drink. We stayed here for a couple of hours watching small herds come down to water. A magical experience.

 

Taken a number of years ago, seeing this one again had the memories flooding back......... a magical part of the world  - Africa.

Before I read your narrative I WAS a bit surprised; I expected to see more of your disgustingly beautiful birds that seem to  wait in your yard for their chance at your camera... :-) 

But all of a sudden ELEPHANTS.  Again, nice work Grayham.

Thanks for your visit................. I load up the occasional "oldie" to hopefully whet the appetite of photographers to place South Africa on their Bucket list. It is not as expensive as one might think - check out the current exchange rate.
