Cannon Beach is one of the most visited coastal cities in Oregon.

Its beauty and proximity to Portland are among the reasons.

People strolling the beach add scale and interest to this amazing

seascape. Thanks in advance for your visits and comments.

Taking a moment to comment adds value that cannot be achieved

through ratings. I appreciate your views and connection. Larry

Nice shot with good color. The haze adds a level of moodiness to the shot. You might double check your horizon line, not sure if it is the perspective, but it feels slightly off. I will be visiting the Oregon Coast in early November and look forward to shooting many of these vistas. Any suggestions?

Charles,  Thanks for your visit and comments on this image.  The horizon looks straight to me.  I am sure that I checked it out and straighted it in Camera RAW.  This is a part of my routine processing.  It may appear to be a touch off because of an illustion created by the large Haystack Rock.   Thanks again for your compliments.   Larry

It is straight I checked : - )

This is a delightful location, and like so many iconic locations its difficult to come away with something satisfying, but I'm sure you must be very pleased with this one!

The gradual colour change is beautiful and the mist adds a great deal to the scene.

Nice work Larry!

Best Regards

Hi Alf,  You are correct about being critical about shooting iconic locations.  We visited here in 2005, and I think I did better then.  The light was certainly better.  I appreciate the nice comments on this image.  To me it does have nice mood, but is just OK.   Thanks again.  Larry

Jim,  Thanks for your visit and nice comment.  I didn't get the chance to do so, but some nice images could be captured after dark on this beach of all the pit fires that people light.  Larry

Very impressive landscape shot.  The mist adds more to the beautiful work, and the people give more perspective.  The golden light at the front give us more perspective.  Love your great composition.  Best Regards,

Great shot Larry. The people not only give a sense of scale but there is a certain symmetrical similarity with the rocks in the water. IMHO, I don't see how the image can be improved.
