I really like this shot - but what a step out of that door!  And thanks for rating my Bellagio Fountain shot.

I really like how you composed this shot GungaJim. The trees framing the canals, the very relaxed feel of the image. I will have to 'search out' information about this place, as I don't know what life here is like, but for this image with it's lovely reflections and calm colors, it is so pleasing to view. Reminds me of a Watercolor painting, yet I know it has not had that effect applied.

An interesting angle for a picture from China- not the sort of image one conjures up when thinking of the country. Nice soft lighting allowing one to see all shadow detail. Probably hard to do, but maybe you could have waited for the people to leave the frame ?
