A very interesting and largely succesfull experiment. The bit of color in the clouds works beautifully. I've tried this sort of thing myself, shifting layers within the image but most of the time the result looks artificial and forced. You've managed to maintain the integrity of the picture while adding a feeling of multi-dimensionality.

Excellent layering effect.  I really like it.  Realistic-cibism (?)  The Eye is really drawn in towards the distance. Thanks for this one.
