Very nice wintershot. I like the lines in the snow leading to the bowed trees. And the colors of course.

I would shoot horizontally two images to get more of the beautiful foreground and stitched the two image together for a square format to emphasize the vastness of the place IMHO. Very nice image as is it is too. Oh, and I like white snow. The background lightning is fantastic.

Cheers

thank you very much! it was a very special evening :)

Bela: I personally dont like stitching, but I agree that in this case it could result an optimal composition.

Hi Zsolt,

A very fine image  well done !  i love the color saturation.

I would loved to have seen the tree on the right, as the main subject by zooming in or getting closer.

As this tree really does look like its falling down

thanks again!

Robert, i have an other version, closer to what you described. however, i feel if i zoom in more at the subject, i loose from the lines of the composition and the dynamism.

here is the other one:

Hi Zsolt,

The tree on the right fighting with natures elements, is the dynamism in your photo.

By isolating this tree, you create a battle in the viewer mind, is the tree going to survive or die ?

Its just my preference Zsolt,  but i always prefer to see a " main" subject in photos.

Great clarity overall and lovely directional light on the snowdrift - I really like how it brings out the texture of snow.
