Wayne Sadler 567 Posted September 15, 2013 This may not conform to the usual notion of street photography, but atthis time while lost and roaming the streets of Rome, Italy (whoreally cares about being lost in a city like this), I found myselfmore fascinated by the people than the beautiful churches, architecture and all the other things that were new to me. This imagewas recorded on Via del Corso running between Piazza del Popolo andthe Capitoline Hill which is one of the seven hills of Rome (This areawhich looked very much like the capitol or center of something was thecitadel of the earliest Romans.) On Via del Corso both the locals andtourists seemed to be going about their business oblivious to eachother, except for one elderly woman (not shown here) who walkeddefiantly in the middle of the street and opposite the flow of trafficas in protest. Comments and critique welcome. Link to comment

edbrown 0 Posted September 17, 2013 I'm intrigued by how you captured the rhythm of the street. The alternations of light and shadow as the street recedes, the three motorcyclists and the slightly blurred face of the woman in the foreground keep my eye moving. A wonderful image. Ed Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 567 Posted September 18, 2013 You have a very discerning eye, Ed. As an whimsical artistic element I alternated the toning of the buildings in this image not certain of the effect and as a matter of my shyness, I tend to distort or at least make less distinct faces in street images. I had not thought of the word, but you are right there was a rhythm to this scene that attracted me. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I see I must visit your portfolio more often to learn more about your unique way of communicating the street dialogue. Link to comment
