It's an astonishing picture, however I'm marking it down somewhat because, despite the sharp, short focus on the nearest duck and the interesting line the figures make across the page, the composition is difficult with the details of the off-centre centre of attention mashing into the details of the duck behind it, who has suffered the misfortune of having its bill squared off and is basically leading the flock out of the picture. 5 from me, hope that doesn't seem entirely too harsh.

Thanks for the details critique Dale!  I generally don't like this composition (even though the sharp bird is at the 1/3 focal point). I would rather have it diagnally below on the right but it's practically a fullframe shot and there's not much cutting that allow me to do otherwise .  I would have prefer to have more room on the left, btw. I probably can cut the bird on the right out all together but with not much room on the left it probably won't look right since there is no space for the bird to fly into (aside from the cut off right at the beak of the blurred bird). Tough to shoot flying bird in a flock is what I've found.
