Only when seen large this image deploys its advantages. Colors, textures and the vanity of the landscape is well conceived only when someone looks at the trees in the bottom of the gorge.
Superb landscape.

Keep shooting.

The sky and distant mountains add nothing to this scene.  By lowering your view to crop out those you would add more of the foreground rock to give depth.  You could also crop the left side a bit, as it almost appears blurred.  

Since you shot this with bad light (mid-day) you really need to tweak that contrast.
