One from this year's crop (we only have a few plants).  I can't resist photographing these colorful peppers.  This is shot on my stove top under a white board. The lighting is simply the light over the stove.

Wow, you really grew some good looking peppers judging from this specimen. This year was terribly hot in Osaka, a record-breaker, and the plants in my balcony garden really suffered from the heat. Whether it was the tomatoes, the peppers or the eggplant, none of them fared very well and what little fruit they produced was small and mis-shapen. This is a great looking bell pepper and a real eye catcher as a photo..

I'm back with a follow up - My written English sometimes falls short of what i have to say. This is an image that is seen so often in commercials made by top notch photographers - so you're up against awesome odds. I DO like your image - mostly because of your story about making it on the kitchen counter. The light is a bit hard and the shadow looks a little wrong. (should perhaps be removed) But overall your image are still watch-worthy and should be framed and hung in the kitchen.
