Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted September 12, 2013 Fraja, You have a nice successful image here. I like the way you have captured the sun, it is dramatic without any white blowout -excellent. A couple thoughts to help might be: reduce the size and opacity of your name - it dominates the image; consider opening up the darkest areas on the water if you think there is interesting detail; next time get a person of animal in the image for human interest and to create a sense of scale. Hope this helps. Best to you. Larry Link to comment
stp 6 Posted September 14, 2013 Very good sky and a bit of detail in the foreground -- those seem to be the two most essential elements in a sunrise/sunset photograph, and that's what you have here. Most such shots are variations of these two primary elements, with the composition dependent on the relative amount of interest and/or aesthetics of other elements in the frame. This 50:50 split vertically is often used in seascapes like this, as is the centering of the sun....there isn't anything else present that would suggest a deviation. A good challenge is to find other elements (e.g., boats, trees, rocks, buildings) that would support a deviation from this very centered composition. Link to comment
