The geology in Utah is abstract and it's difficult for a viewer that has not

seen this part of the world to get a good feel for the size of these

formations. Trish, at the distance on the trail, gives just a hint of the size.

Beautiful photo, and I liked it more because there was a person in it to show scale, as you said. It really helps appreciate the size.

Spectacular!! Excellent composition and adding Trish to the frame, with all lines leading to her, is perfect...  Mike

Great composition.  The rock wall really does have a looming presence, made all the more so because the scale can be appreciated more easily with Trish in the frame.  Great shot.

Many folks have already mentioned the composition and I totally agree with their comments. The little shade at the bottom left runs right up, touches and joins the rippled rock as if they have known each other for eons.

Excellent POV Dominick!! The trail looks a bit perilous(?), you wouldn't want to trip that's for sure! An impressive capture with excellent color and excellent composition!

Thanks for the comments.   Gail, a fall in many of the places we hike would be disastrous / fatal.   On one occasion Trish was trying to walk past me on a cliff trail and I  thought she was on the other side.  I turned, and my wide backpack bumped her, almost causing a fall.   I'm being more careful now!

Great composition with the very good perspective.  Natural color, sharp details.  Best Regards,

Whew Dom, that was a close call. It sometimes takes a' close call' to remind us how careful we have to be. I admire that you both love to 'trek' so much, a great adventure all the time! Partners in Life and Extreme Adventures!!

cheers Dom, glad you are both home and safe, take care for now, GAil

You exploited this idea beautifully.  And the fact that Trish is just on the far side of the shadow with some light on her makes this work.  We're avid hikers, but I must say that it looks like you are a bit more intrepid than we are!  This looks scary!
