I like the behavior aspect of this macro - usually insects are shown in unusual poses and situations. This is how we all know and hate mosquitos. I would clone a few of the curly hairs away  but other than that the image works. Could be the cover of a book about insects.

Great focus - and since it gives me the shivers just looking at it, it's an A+ as that's the right feeling for a shot of a blood-sucker digging in! Nice!
