Rice fields are often so beautiful, and this is no exception.  I agree with Alfredo that the presence of a person makes a huge difference.  I also like the reflections of the clouds and trees showing in the water with all of these small green shoots poking through.  I can envision other photographs within this one, perhaps a telephoto with the lower border just below the walking path on this side of the farmer, or maybe even using the nearest walking paths as the lower border.  Many possibilities (depending, however, on what may or may not be to the left and/or right).

Beautiful scene!  Agree with everyone here that having the person in the picture clinches it.  Cheers, J
