kslonaker 0 Posted September 13, 2003 A dull day - this image needed a little extra help in PS. Added a little light and sepia-toned it. It's more abstract now, I think. Link to comment
ciofalo 0 Posted September 13, 2003 Excellent post-processing. Still, I find that something is missing here - a center of interest, maybe. It is an abstract but rather uniform pattern without a real compositional theme. Very good as a study in pattern and shape, less as a photograph on its own. Link to comment
arashdejkam 0 Posted September 15, 2003 I don't think an abstract work necessarily need 'center of interest', and I don't find 'uniform pattern' in this photo, it works for me, well done Kim. Link to comment
mark_roybal 0 Posted December 11, 2003 Your sepia style is cool, love how you burn out a section of the image. Great work. This envokes feelings of despair, strentgh, with a dash of solitude, for me anyways.... Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted January 21, 2004 Thanks, Or - the original was pretty plain and the sepia effect brought out the branches and gave them some texture and form. Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted April 3, 2004 Great sepia! Crop it tighter and you have a really cool abstract! Great work Kim! Link to comment
ronnievalentine 0 Posted July 1, 2004 Kim, The lines, the sepia toning, the highlight on the water, all add up to a wonderfully composedcapture. Amazing talent! Cheers, Ronnie Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted July 2, 2004 Thanks, Ronnie - it was rather "blah" before the treatment. Link to comment
davegordon 0 Posted March 7, 2005 I think the sepia toning and the composition of the branches is wonderful. I find the bright spot on the water to be a little distracting although it works well on the branches. Was wondering how the image would look if the central bright spot effect could be maintained on the branches and lessened on the water. Just a thought. Dave Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted March 8, 2005 I can go back and rework this one, Dave, if I can easily find my original file. (My cataloging system sucks). I've used PS a lot more since doing this one, so would probably do it a little differently this go round. Link to comment
