Thanks, Mike.  All of these shots were intended to be shot at f/2.8, but at some point I must have turned the knob to f/3.5 for some of them.  (I'm not sure about this one.)

 

These were all hand-held--I'm still trying to fully test the D3s as a low-light camera which I can use without a tripod, especially at twilight.

Quite atmospheric . . . Sorry for the bad pun.  Excellent use of ambient lighting to bring out the detail of the rain.

On first glance at the thumbnail I was thinking moon and ocean...so I guess faux moon fits. I'm a sucker for the dark photographs. Another good one, Lannie.

Thanks, guys.  Jack, I like the idea of a "faux moon" here, since the thumbnail certainly looks like the moon over the water.

 

Perhaps we could even call it a "faux full moon."

 

In fact, I think that I shall rename it that.
