African Spurred Tortoise

Hi Michael,

Another wonderful life form well captured here.

Outside of Sarasota, Florida, where Betsy and I owned our first country home, very large land turtles would come into the front yard and stay a day or so.  Neither of us knew what these were at first, since one morning we saw this giant "rock" like shape sitting nearby our car port. My nearest neighbor, a 1/4 mile away, told us that this was just one of many new creatures that we would witness while we lived here.
