I'm a gear head fascinated by any and all machinery so this power

generation facility at the Hoover Dam proved interesting. I can't believe

how clean this place is kept. No trash, no where. And a person can

get to thinking about how all that electricity is used as well as the stored

water in that vast dessert. We can build some really great things!

I used a new tool that's available in Lightroom 5 in the lens correction

area, where clicking on "automatic" will straighten out horizontal and

vertical lines with just one click of the mouse. Unbelievable!

Love it! So interesting - as folks who will most likely never get a chance to see the things you've been documenting, your photos mean a lot to us. And they're very good!

Thanks for your feedback Gregory and Verena.   I am fortunate I am able to see so much.    I wish I could have traveled more when I was younger and healthier, but better late than never.

Hi Dominick:

Excellent sharpness, perspective and lighting/colour. You've created a very powerful picture. I love this sort of picture and yours is well composed.

Along the same theme I'm sure you're familiar with the Sayano–Shushenskaya hydroelectric power station accident in Russia some years ago. If not I recommend you 'google' it - one of the turbines 'let go'!

Well done, Dave D

Dave, what a disaster!   I found lots of photos of before and after the incident.  And, tons of transformer oil killing all those fish...pity.   Have to dig a little deeper for the cause.  Thanks for the info, Aloha.

Can't add more to what has already been said except to reinforce  what a super shot this is. Best wishes William
