single photos The Ruin of West Pier

This structure fascinated me on a recent trip to Brighton, England. Built

in the late Victorian era and disused since the mid 1970's, it was the

victim of an arson attack in 2003 just before funds were to be made

available to restore it to it's original glory. Being a grade 1 listed building

it cannot be destroyed and removed although the elements will one day

reclaim it. All comments welcom.

I would have chosen the cropping in a way so the distance to the pillars on the left would be the same to structure in the water on the right side of the photo
