I was out on my bike for a couple of hours this afternoon and I traveled light with just my point and shoot. And sometimes that leaves me feeling vulnerable - just in case I find something special.  I did force myself to avoid any fancy skies (by the way there was none (*_*)  ) and see if I could find something else. I guess I found this. I converted to B&W and then increased the contrast.

I owe this to my just turned 10 year old granddaughter who encouraged me to find something different and beat me at Blokus at the same time. That left me feeling a bit low for a few minutes but I  kept a brave front.

It seems your Grandaughter has your 'creative' instincts and your resulting image is excellent. This one would look great enlarged quite big with even a glicee finish. Well done!

Jim, Tina and Gail - glad you liked it. The more I look at it the more it grows on me. I may even print this one out.

Astounding and outstanding. A wonderful work of art, regardless of the equipment used, it is the trained eye that counts to produce such a powerful, captivating image. Thanks for sharing the photograph and the experience.

Eystein, Radu and Daniel - many thanks. Your visit and kind words are always appreciated. A I mentioned before, I will be printing this one - not too large - because I have limited wall space.

This looks like a pen and ink drawing! It is simply ...wonderful... gorgeous... so simple and delicate yet so strong. I'd hang this on my wall in a heartbeat also!   Well seen and well done!

Wow....I am speechless....as soon as I saw the thumbnail, I just had to see these very fine lines of ink-like honey, only to realize what an artistic capture this is, and the post-processing even more so. IMHO one needs to have true vision to capture and eventually produce this fine example of creativity and sensibility. Truly one-of-a-kind.
