Hi Sam,

A wonderful display of one of the myriads of cloud formations present world wide each day.

Keep looking up, I do !

Best Regards my friend, Mike

Hi Mike,

the original image, in colours, wasn't as impressive as this computer-generated grey-scale version ;-)

Yes, I'm always keeping an eye on the sky which, in this part of the world, often is changing very quickly.

This cloud appeared & disappeared within 15 minutes.

Thanks for your comments.

cheers

Sam

Hi Sam,

The use of grey scale is often better because any lens and camera sensor is more challenged to handle the light variations across the white and dark  clouds, and  the sky background, too.

False colors, lower contrast, lens aberrations , and other factors can arise under such shooting conditions, too.

The grey scale image is more natural in appearance.

I know about fast changing clouds here in Florida. The same cloud have take on many " look a likes" in a matter of a few minutes. I have witnessed many clouds form over me , where the rest of the sky was bright blue !

Take care my friend and our best to Hilla,

Mike
