the charming result of a keen eye, keener instinct, and split-second judgement - an instant earlier and the helmeted rider would have blocked our view of the wall art, an instant later and she would have been out of the frame and all we would have is the flat image of the wall art... i particularly like the sense of movement you have successfully imparted to her

Lovely contrast between the elegant sweeping lines of the mural, and the hard plump shape of a helmet. The contrast between the sharp, focussed nature of the wall painting - the good side of life, enjoying a drink in compary - versus the fleeting rushed moving nature of the girl wearing the helmet - somehow making me feel it's the lesser part of life.

Very effective image, and result of a very keen and awake eye!

As I see this the helmet turns that  young woman to sorta cartoon figure matching well by oversized shape and dark tones the painted figure. Nice catch.

Wouter, Markku, Svetlana, Andrea, thank you for your visit and comments, very much appreciated! Andrea, I am glad you are satisfied the print on the glass of the image you mentioned. I visited Valencia this August again (three years later) and also the place where the photo you have was taken, and must say that there is another window decoration now. It is good somehow, because nobody can repeat the motif for similar image:-).

Dear Gunnar,

This is a refreshingly unusual scene! It is refreshing in that one does not get the impression that you set out to take an unusual photo, but that the circumstances created one and you captured it.

B+W was the perfect call for this, it blends the two worlds nicely. The vintage "60's" feel of the mural is already emotionally rich, but then the juxtaposition of the 21st century puts it over the top.

So much to see and enjoy in this!

Tim
