Avalanche off Mt. Rainier

This is a small part of a large panorama I shot from nearby Tolme Pk. of

Mt. Rainier in WA state. It wasn't until I'd gotten home and processed

the pano that I looked close enough to see the avalanche coming off of

Willis Wall. Good thing no one in their right mind would think of climbing

that pile of rubble under these summer conditions.

Right place at the right time!  You might try reducing the amount of blue in the photo (I do it by pulling down the blue channel in "curves").  I think that would bring out the colors of the rock in a better way.

What a great catch--and a reminder of how massive and broad--and dangerous--the summit of Rainier really is.
