Comments and ratings are appreciated.

I'm gonna have to disagree on this one, although this is certainly in no means a bad shot, I don't feel it is as great as all above are claiming. For me there is too much sky, and though it is moody and intense, it seems almost to smother and suffocate the image - perhaps this was the photographers intention? Because this intense, heavily textured sky is mirrored in the water, it certainly becomes a dominant theme, almost to the detriment of the landscape itselwith ich struggles to gain prominence and separation from it. in places it isahead to see where the mountains stop and the sky begins. agian, this could be entirely intentional and just not to my taste. This has been processed as a low key image, no doubt to aid the mood of foreboding etc. but I would like a greater range oftonnes than thosepresent here, if only to break the monotony. We have so many dark tones and then the brigcrop arts of the clouds but nothingmuch in between. for me this is just another factor that highlights the sky and reflection and draws the eye away from the landscape.

Ruud, Holger, Jean and Scott, thank you for comments. Scott - in my opinion this is a matter of taste. The motiv is the sky as much as the landscape, and my intention was to make a dramatic effect. We can always discuss whether it was successful or not. Anyway, I really appreciate your interest and interesting comment.

Eystein, I really should proof what I type, just read it back and noticed all the predictive text errors! You are right of course about my opinions being subjective and in no way definitive. As I said, I don't dislike this image, just dealt it didn't quite work for the reasons I attempted to give (not helped by the typos). Also, I was viewing and typing on an iPad, and having since viewed it large on my mac the issues with separation are much reduced.

Feedback, both positive and negative are always welcome to me. It is always interesting to get point of view from other photographers, as long as the comments are well founded.  I do not always agree, but that is another matter. There is always something to learn.

Best regards Eystein
