Jack McRitchie 150 Posted August 15, 2013 These last few pictures are very strong and mark a kind of breakthrough for you, I think. You seem to have developed a new relationship with the picture plane and the results are excellent so far. Link to comment
JatinderKeith 0 Posted August 16, 2013 Pnina, the object on his left, apparently a flask is tilted. Is it intentional? Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted August 16, 2013 Jatinder, at the show it simbolizes the'ammunition" at war time, and, this is my impression as was on stage, and therefor the title. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted August 18, 2013 Without the context, the mind can go in any direction. I see many people do battle in their heads against tiny, empty matters from their past, myself included. I think this has a dissociative feel, becoming absorbed with something small and internal so intently that the world at large is ignored. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted August 20, 2013 Thanks for your interesting point of view and impressions!and this as well...http://www.youtube.com/embed/fwBzd2U8NVc?rel=0 Link to comment
Donna Stavis 0 Posted August 26, 2013 Hi Pnina, to me this is funny or fun. With the thermos as a context, this reminds me of a parent letting go of a child the first day of school, and the child is trying to be so grown up, but the parent's hand is there to catch him. Link to comment
3m 0 Posted August 29, 2013 Pnina, I think your placement of subjects (tight & including a slight tilt) adds to the movement of the scene and seems to put emphasis on the main 'little' story element (the way it has its front stage..). Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted August 30, 2013 Thanks for adding your poine of view.I think that Jeff was right that without the context it can have many interpretations. The story was about war and peace, the "thermos" symbolized the ammunition, for me it was his hand looking where the human are in time of war? a shell without the missing body and soul... Here is another scene from the story. Link to comment
