Explosion off of the Port Side frames 1-4

The original photos were sequentially taken about 55 years ago from the deck of the USS Galveston with an Argus C3 camera and positive color film. Around 30 years later 4"x6" negatives were made from each of the 4 color slides which were fading out. The original slides are long since lost. This posted image is a layered composite of Epson V700 scans of those four 4"x6" negatives.

deck of the Cruiser, USS Galveston with an Argus C3 camera and

positive color film. Around 30 years later 4"x6" negatives were made

from each of the 4 color slides which were fading out. The original slides

are long since lost (I move around a lot). This posted image is a layered

composite of Epson V700 scans of those four 4"x6" negatives -which I

had forgotten existed and just today happened to find in a closet.
