The Gothic style exhibits its fine lines all around and to the rear of

this well preserved church.Thank you for your comment-Laurent

Very nicely captured! I like the deep deep blue sky and the dramatic effect of the clouds. I also like the detail in the building, but feel that the distortion is quite significant. This is however quite an easy fix in photoshop. Well done overall.

Hello Laurent, It is as the above poster said, very beautiful image in the color but the distortion is to much to ignore my friend. Would love to see another angle on this great looking building. Take care.

Holger

Thank you for looking in and for the observation.Deep skies and acute distortion are the by-products of this WA lense with its permanent circular polarizer.I well realize that any distortion can be distracting, even irritant to some,a barely detectable one more so.In this case,as in many of my images of higher structures in particular,I even position myself to accentuate the effect as in this one;this is a welcomed change from my engineering background and the need for the always perfect vertical and horizontal. As for correcting in PP,I must confess my limited skill level.

Merci et meilleures salutations-Laurent

Thank you kindly.I agree that the distortion is difficult to ignore and as I noted to Benjamin above,it is not by accident but very voluntary.Again,I appreciate it is far from pleasing to some, but I rather like it when it is this acute. This was taken in a brief stop as I drove by and the front shots are in the shade and not so good.

Hi Laurent, I didn't mean to infer that I didn't like the image, I do. And I, like you lack skills in PP so I understand where you are coming from, that and perhaps a little laziness and lack of time contribute to my lack of skills. Regardless of all that I am enjoying your images and will continue to look.

I sincerely hope no offense was taken as none was intended.

Best Regards,

Holger

Certainly no offence taken here, just appreciation for your comment;maybe my thought got sideways in my French-to-English brain translator.Just wanted to pass on that I really liked this WA lense for its distorted rendition.Thank you for the DÉLICATESSE of coming back with these few words.

Sincèrement,meilleures salutations-Laurent

If you look at the TAGS,you can see that this church is in Baie Ste-Anne.It,like most churches in rural areas in this country are the most imposing structures and are always located in the prime or heart of the village....and it is there that I stopped my choice of title.Gothic or not....you may be right;maybe you can help me here. And,any comment on the PHOTO?

Meilleures salutations-Laurent
