I like that you placed the egret out of mid center.  There are a couple of issues here though. First the top of the bird is blown out and destination is lost  in the feathers. It looks like you were shooting on a bright day; softer light would help. Second the image lacks interest.  With a bird like this is its element I think it would be helpful if we could see something else; a near reed a distant cattail.  As it is it reads a little lacking as a story.

It may  have technical imperfections as a seafowl photo, not what I aim at much, but as an overall impression it is pleasant.  The shadow and softness of the subject has a spatial air that I like.  Best, gs
