The high tide coming from the Bay of Funday into the Petticodiac River

creates a unique tidalbore allowing surfers to ride for record

distances(latest-29 km.). This scene was seized from the observation

park in Moncton NB as the inital wave carried this surfer;the textured

water surface was from the pouring rain and the color is from the

stirred up clayey bottom giving the river its Chocolate River

nickname.Thank you for your comment-Laurent

Thank you for the appreciation. This is a spectacular wave and the violent shower hit just as it was within shooting range;both the camera and I came out of this totally soaked....but it was worth it.

On this day, there were three surfers waiting to get on to the wave as it reached this spot just in front of the observation platform;two did not make it and the wave belonged to this one.It was a stormy day with very heavy rain,so I was happy to at least get this shot.Thank you for appreciating.

Salutations-Laurent
