Jack McRitchie 150 Posted July 31, 2013 I see you have applied a vignette to this picture which is effective but I actually think you could have gone further. The tones here fall mostly in the middle range which is evident in the b&w version. For some reason I think even more brightening of the grass right center at the horizon line, might be effective in giving this picture more punch (maybe even going over the top and brightening the area even blindingly so, I don't know. I wanted to experiment myself but I wasn't able to import the image into PS so it's just idle speculation on my part.). As is, I prefer the monochrome version. Link to comment
krpradu 125 Posted August 1, 2013 Thank you friends for your comments here, appreciate this.Jack, myself I thought to what your said and when I worked it I had a brighter middle part but it was at that moment to much and I decided to go back a little, also I saw that(is just my observation)that photos worked in evening when the room is mostly in dark show different in the morning when is plenty of light, looking this one now(is morning) I agree with what you advise me,I must try.If you want I can send you the photo by mail. martinforget 0 Posted August 22, 2013 I like the colored one better. I rarely do or like BW better. It seems like I realy need a special light direction to find the BW interesting. Here the color and the classical 3 layout (front-middle-back) is better serve with colour (in my humble opinion). The vignetting and sky add something to the photo. Great work on your latest flower. Your technique as improved with the years. Always inspiring. Best regards, martin Link to comment
