Great expression, but having dealt with cancer and held the hand of someone dying from it  I hate the idea of smoking

Interesting image. And timely. Free to smoke or not, but I agree with Donna. Having had some trouble with Asthma, once you cannot inhale or exhale, that is a feeling I will not forget. I won't go on to what happens next. Friends I've lost to Cancer of the Esophagus, tongue, lung; people I know with C.O.P.D. - no cure for that one yet, and many don't last long. You can even get it if you have never smoked, second hand smoke can cause it. I don't relish the thought of having Oxygen hose trailing behind me and limiting where I go. Then there is that lovely time when you exit a building or restaurant and all the smokers are gathered outside. What a terrible smell. I have to hold my breath or else I'll choke. Even smoke from people's clothes causes problems for my breathing. Allergies don't help.

But onto the merits of the image. I really like the soft muted colors of the background buildings. He is in a soft focus, except for the hand and cigarette but that seems fine to me. I can notice scars on his face, especially around the chin. I think you did a good job of the image Jorge. Good use of that lens Jorge. And you also started a dialogue that many may be sensitive to, but that is fine, we all need to express ourselves. ;-) well done, Gail

No! Absolutely Not! I have lost both my mom and dad to cancer and neither one of them ever smoked! My sister is a cancer survivor. I am wanting to sell my home because my neighbor is always working on cars in his garage and he smokes. It is bad enough with the exhaust fumes, but then the smoke too... I can't even enjoy the scent of my orange blossoms or roses unless close up to them now. I don't think the health of other people should be at risk because someone wants the "freedom" to smoke. They have smokeless cigarettes now. Nice detail on the photo.

Hi Jorge,

No personal perspective from me on this image.

It is technically sound, using the 200mm at F/4, this is where this lens is best to use, unless you have the F/2.8 version.

The results are very good my friend.

Best Regards, Mike

Congrats Jorge !
