The colors overall especially against the grayness yet colorfulness of the lower part of the wall work well. The boldness of the design dominates but doesn't really detract from the portrait, though it does affect the woman as being somewhat diminutive in relation to her surroundings. Her face seems a bit more orange and slightly differently lit than the rest of her skin and that doesn't seem to work, as it feels inorganic and a bit inconsistent. She presents as very secure and unflinching, non-hesitating.

The simple part of the background is the lower area which brings my eye to her legs.  The pose creates a distortion of her legs with her right thigh appearing much broader than her left.  Her right calf appears much shorter than her left.  Any pose that keeps her limbs in natural proportion would seem desirable to me.  I hope this helps.  Good luck with your future efforts with this model.
