This is originally a snapshot of my wife in 2011, she asked me to

take a photo after a hairdresser visit, cropped it a little bit with some

post-processing treatment.

I think the high key treatment works well in a lot of photos in your portfolio. It's a style that seems to go well, for instance, with the latex shots you've taken . . . it seems to mirror and harmonize with the feel of those shots and the content. Here, it seems more like an applied style to me and doesn't particularly register as organic or effective. It is a blatant and straightforward-looking picture and her wide open eyes are a strong and central feature. Maybe those qualities, along with the strong high key feel of her face, in combination, are just a little too much . . . for me.

Often times we take our best photographs when we're not really trying...it would seem that is the case here....very simple, demure, and elegant...it appears that so much of her personality and character come through in this image...great job focusing on the eyes...I do like the tight crop and the high key PPing....nicely done...lovely portrait.
