As a resident of Florida, I am aware that the Florida Highway Patrol occasionally incorporates vehicles into its fleet that are not "typical" police vehicles (like the Ford Crown Victoria).  I've seen Mustangs, Camaros, and even a Corvette.  In any case, your photograph provides an homage to this vehicle, showing that it has earned its keep and has been put out to pasture.

Thank you for your kind observation.The present local(NB) owner of this rare car told me he had purchased it from a retired Ontario Provincial Police officer who had imported it from Florida.It is now being pampered by this young couple whose son really seems to enjoy being secured in the back seat of the cruiser.
