The old panels in their habitat. You looking at people looking at paintings. I'm fond of these type of meta pictures. And those three groups on the bench with the child not seeming to belong to any. Well done!

Hi Joao,

A very nice display, imaged well with your camera nd lens settings.

Often , under indoor lighting, higher ISO and long exposure settings, the color balance does become shifted toward the red end of the spectrum. This is due to the lighting itself, as it does naturally radiant more light in the red regions.

I adjusted the white balance and red content a bit to present the same scene with less of a red shift.

It is presented to you as an example to show that even if a custom "white balance" is not used in the camera, the image can still be compensated in post processing.

Again, I like your original work shown and I offer my example only as additional information about imaging under available light conditions. Certainly there are many other ways to obtain the image with camera and lens choices, as well as many other post processing methods to be used , too.

Best Regards my friend, Mike

Hi Mike! Thanks for your explanation, work and photo example, these indoor light conditions were poor...but I think that it shows the "mood" of this museum (Lisbon National Ancient Art Museum). I use "Adobe Light Room" software and I know I could go further in the post processing, but maybe it's my way to see it...or the way I felt it... anyway, thanks again for your attention my friend! Best regards.

Hi Joao,

You are correct. There is always a "mood" established inside a museum and the lighting (sometimes the background music that is offered) make the visiting experience extra special.

Each of us do "see" ( perceive/interpret)in a different way, too. The camera and lens also "images"  many scenes differently than what we see.

My re-work sample is just another example of what can be done easily from the digital baseline.

In the film days, I often obtained color shifts from the various color films like you showed in your image here. I used to image many museums for opening events and advertising compaigns. I submitted images like you did here. Other times, the editors wanted the development of more details or color balance , both which were more challenging to do with film than with today's digital cameras .

Best Regards my friend, Mike
