An oddly cropped portrait but one that works very well for me. It seems much more a cinematic character study, a momentary expression of personality captured close up, than the more static, carefully considered composition one encounters in most portraits.

I like the way you cropped it. Very good portrait of a tough guy!

Had I tried to describe this,I could not have been more exact.This was an instantaneous capture of my  friend leaning over the car window to talk to me;the odd crop was imposed by the window frame hiding the top of his head,but the expression was so genuine,I went ahead and ajusted the remainder of the crop to suit.Glad it caught your eye.I thank you for the kind appreciation.
