Such a sad expression from such a beautiful animal..........I hope he isn't homeless for long.

A very moving image.

My own dog is from a rescue centre and the joy she brings to us is immense!

Compliments!

Thank you Todd and Alf.  He was a very sweet dog and easily became friends with our dog Bobbie.  He stayed with us for a while and then we saw him going to a house by the beach where a lady called him.  She was very happy to see him and offered him food and water (we already have given him biscuits and water), and he looked very satisfied.  We talked to the lady and she informed us that he passes from there almost every day.  She is feeding him and have him play with her dog.  He takes his time and then he leaves to come back the nest day.  She's trying to find a home for him.  We wished her good luck and thank her for taking care of him.  I really feel sad for all those homeless dogs around the world.  Especially in Greece we have a lot of them.

Many Thanks for your explanation and your kindness.

It is good to know that there are people out there willing to help.

I guess the homeles dogs are a sign of the times, and when people are finding it difficult to cope financially, sometimes it is the innocent animals that suffer the consequences.

There are two sides to every story though, and you have illustrated this very well with both images of this animal, the next photograph he looks much more cheerful.

Kind Regards

Alf

Beautiful capture of this 'lone' traveler Panayotis. He seems to have a sad look, but perhaps, there has been enough LOVE along the way that he knows just who to visit. There was a TV Program on TV years back called 'The Littlest Hobo'. It was about a dog who just went from place to place, helping those he was with at the time, seeking shelter and food from whomever would be kind enough to help him. He would then move on to another place. (I guess if he didn't the storyline would be lost). But this fellow reminds me of him. I am so glad you befriended him and found out more about his situation from that woman. Beautiful animal, lovely capture.

Heart breaking! His eyes look so sad here. I have such a heart for animals who need love. Most of my cats are with me because no one else would love them. They bring me so much joy! I hope this sweet dog can find that love he deserves. Thank you for sharing. :)
