Your work is so realistic and so compelling that it would be a futile exercise to praise it. This image, along so many other in your fine portfolios is just a visual gift. The scene is delightful, the colors vivid, and the image 3-D like. Your technique is very accomplished. My sincere recognition and respect.

The colors, detail, and composition are very striking.  The only hesitation I have is the relatively dark, densely clouded sky but with a courtyard that has a fair amount of light.  That kind of disconnect or mismatch bothers me just a bit, and it's something I see fairly frequently in photographs with dark skies that have received a fair amount of processing.  Still, I like this blacksmith's yard very much.

When the photograph was taken the sky above and to the right was clear blue, but there was dark clouds behind the farm buildings coming our way. Three minutes later the heavens opened and I had to take shelter.

I really like, and enjoy, and even seek out skies like this as it pushes the foreground, or main subject forward emphasizing the essence of the subject. A dark sky also contributes to a, " 3D," effect. Also dark skies, or subtracting light has a way of sweetening light up that somehow is good for the lens.
