Irene- I like clarity, colours & composition. The pose of the bird is fantastic as if the bird is proud to be photographed. Congratulations. According to me, the rating is 6 out of 7. It could have been 7 out of 7 but for one eye partly hidden. Congratulations.

Irene, good composition: bird offset to left, looking into open space, head and eyes well framed, background good contrast without significant distractions, and feels well balanced. Technically: eyes well focused, DOF shows all bird features, bird movement well stopped with 1/320 shutter speed. IMO the whites are a little bright especially in the feathers above the beak and the white spots in the background are a little distracting. I took the liberty of trying to improve these areas in PS.  Hope this kind of comment is helpful - remember it is just my humble opinion as a amateur.

Striking image! Simple but nothing else is needed with those sauser eyes and beak! Great colors and perfect composed, maybe a little bit more of that powerful prideful chest would have been even more telling. Even so, very nice.
