Wonderful clean, clear light and color and of course the bird performing just for your camera. It appears you are either back on track or close to it now. Gotta keep pushing through the dark, spider-webbed passages in our heads to get to that hidden glade where images come to rest and where we can maybe net us a few..

The timing is perfect as well as the light, especially on its open wings ,beautiful pose.

I like how the light seems more real than the bird, as if it has the power to hoist the egret up against its will.

Light means everything in the quality of an image and this is a fine example of that!

Such a beautiful display of this lovely bird's plumage. Could this have been a mating ritual dance Amal??? Very majestic and proud bird!

The back lighting works beautifully for you here and your exposure provides great detail in all but the brightest (and in my opinion less important) highlights.   Your framing makes this one all about the bird.  Looks like an exhibition quality offering to me.  Most of us would make great sacrifices to come up with an image like this.  Best, LM.
