There is a stream that runs out of the base of the dunes at Sand

Dunes N.P. in south Colorado. This shot is from there. Some folks

put together this "teepee" in mid stream. I thought it looked cool.

Powerful picture, Chuck. For some reason it didn't so much remind me of a teepee but of rifles stacked at a bivouac. This casts the picture into an entirely different light, painting an almost melancholy mood upon the image

Hey Chuck,

I'm sprry to say, but i think you over post-processed the photo.. But this is my opinion, I am not fond of HDR precessing..

But! I defenitely like the point of view !

I like the stark shapes of the timbers against that moody sky, there is something very haunting. almost ritualistic about that shape, something that neanderthal man might have put together as an offering to who knows what.

Its makes for a strking image with enough impact to make a lasting impression, one that will stay with me for a long time!

Compliments!

Alf
