Frederick,

Pretty girl, good lighting, excellent focus on her eyes, out of focus background allows your subject to stand out, nice make-up and wonderful smile, good skin tone, very nice catchlights and very good compositional balance. This is an excellent portrait.

There are only a couple minor things and one major thing that could be improved. The background is a little too light. It competes with her face and is kind of a sickly green color (fluorescent pea soup). The color doesn't do much for her pretty skin tone. A darker background (shaded trees?) would allow her to stand out even more. The darker green "lines" in the background go into the top of her head and out the sides of her head which is a tad distracting.

It would be appropriate to place your name and the date the image was made, if you wish, on a mat surrounding your photograph. Anything besides your name and the date would be better placed on the back of the photograph. You don't want anything in the photograph that draws the viewer's attention away from your subject.

Nice shot,

Mark

a lovely portrait of an equally lovely model.  I really like the natural lighting here...at least it appears to be...a very comfortable, casual feel...great smile and pose...I agree though with Mark with regards to background color...and water mark.

This is a very nice casual portait with wonderful light on the subject. The green in the background is very bright and is a little overpowering. Toning it down somewhat will reduce the effect.

That's collectively very good input and I agree with the review of the background.

Very useful feedback and I've altered the original before going to print...

The watermark unfortunately, has become necessary for me as other photographers have recently posted my work as their own... I do attempt to keep it low key...

Thank you again!
