Despite the difficulties posed by the late afternoon sun and some noise in the sky and far mountains, I think it's quite a good photo. The composition and colors are excellent, almost Daliesque These trees are amazing. Somehow they find enough nourishment in the rocky terrain to not only survive but to do so for hundreds and hundreds of years. Kind of makes you rethink your ideas about convenience and an easy life.

One of my favorite subjects is trees/plants that have somehow found a tenuous foothold on the earth in which to survive.  This is a great example, because the tree has obviously been here for some time, much of the crown has been reduced, the trunk is bent and twisted, the landscape is arid, yet it continues to live.  I might have been tempted to pan the camera to the left just slightly to reduce the space somewhat on the right, but I think this is a very good photo taken at a very good time of day.  Nice work.
