Hi Dave,

A technically well shot scene my friend.

The perspective , along with the level of clarity provides a pleasing view.

I noticed that the focal length was 340mm at F/6.3. This indicates a zoom lens was used as I know of no 340mm fixed focal length lens.

Best Regards, Mike

Great clarity and detail, that lens seems to do a great job for you!

Tripod or hand held?

I also like the illuminated grasses, I first thought it looked a bit saturated, but looking closer I believe it may be due to the light?

Compliments & Best Regards

Good capture of a shy animal. Nice timing to get them looking off to the side. I like the framing and the backlight. A couple of thoughts. No one else has mentioned it but there are magenta blotches on and around the dark areas of the legs. Also there is an odd texture in the dark fur like fine corduroy that I find distracting. Personally I find the grass somewhat electric for my taste. I realize it's backlit but I find it competes for attention because it's bright. I did a quick edit to try and remove the magenta and texture and reduced the brightness of the grass a bit. Not perfect but just to give an idea of what I mean. Just my 2 cents.

Regards

Greg

Bill - your deer are in your back yard whereas these guys lived in a drain pipe about 200 yards form my place. I walked down to them each morning for about a month to get images I wanted. Thanks for the visit.

Gregory - I had not noticed the magenta, but when I saw your post processing, I really noticed the difference. I really appreciate you taking the time to show this to me. I should look closer at the colors to improve. thanks for the insight. Please, anytime you have something to offer, do not hesitate to be frank and honest - I value such comments very much.

My, they do grow fast. Another good capture. Someone already mentioned the 'color' so I don't need to go into that. Once you fix that, if you print it, I think it would look very nice framed Dave.
